  Potpourri Tips

Maintaining your Potpourri:

- Where should potpourri be displayed?  Refrain from having potpourri near direct sunlight. This will make it warm which will release the fragrance more as well as fade the potpourri ingredients. Instead, have it in simple open glass bowl, decorative plate with candles placed in the center say for a coffee table (never leave candles lit, unattended near potpourri), made into sachets for dresser drawers, in a gift basket set on a bathroom vanity, as a filler in a vase with artificial flowers...

-  Storing potpourri...  Keep potpourri packaged in a dark cool place until ready to use. When you want to display your potpourri, take what you need out of the bag and re-seal it to be used at a later time.

-  Loss of fragrance...  If your potpourri looses its fragrance for whatever reason, use 2-3 drops of a new essential oil or use Grammy's Country Collectibles air freshener sprays to refreshen your potpourri.

-  Is it ok to add to the potpourri?  Absolutely! Adding additional flowers or even fragrance can create a whole new blend. It is best to experiment a little at a time either with adding flowers or even fragrance as not to ruin the potpourri.

- When should potpourri be replaced?  Either when you are tired of the fragrance or when it doesn't look as appealing as it did when you first bought it.

- How long should potpourri last?  At least 3-6 months to even one year. Properly maintained potourri can last for five years.
