Located in Resiterstown, MD, Michelle is the maker of all potpourri crafts and is the owner of Grammy's Country Collectibles.

Grammy's Country Collectibles is a craft business who's mission is to reflect upon Simpler Times. Most ingredients are grown in Michelle's gardens on her and her husband's 1.2 acre land. All potporris are scented twice and made with esential oils, not synthetics which tend to affect some with allergies. The homemade items are intended to create a relaxed environment whether it is for your home, office (to increase productivity among employees or welcome customers) or in the car to make rush hour less stressful. Most importantly these handmade items are also to be a reflection on Simpler Times...

In this fast paced, high stress society we live in, don't you want to go back to Simpler times?

"Back in the olden days" was the line Michelle's grandma (Marqueen - a.k.a. Nanny) would use to start her stories of growing up in Pennyslavania and when times were tough. "We didn't have much," she'd say, "But we had each other and we had fun."

Times have changed and we are finding more and more stresses to endure. Now it may be hard to relate to Simpler Times, but who hasn't thought about going back to a time when handwritten letters were the main form of communication, holidays weren't commercialized and gifts were homemade, people knew who their neighbors were, and having the whole family sit down to a family dinner wasn't a myth... Pondering over this older traditional way of life, who hasn't thought about what it was like in the "olden days".

Only if a time machine exists! However, with items such as fragrant homemade potpourri and other potpourri crafts, they all capture these stories and ideas of Simpler Times. And now Michelle can share these items at future art and craft shows, here on this website and soon at various retial shops.

Michelle is also into preserves - canning anything from pickles to jams, gardening, being involved in the community, is a freelance writer, and is the promoter of the Mid-Atlantic Crafter Expo and the MD Four Seasons Fine Art and Crafts Markets in Westminster, MD. For more information on events, set up a meeting with Michelle, and more please email Michelle.
